Smoother Aesthetics Reviews Maidstone

"First time having lip fillers so I was very nervous but as soon as I see jamie he put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. The numbing cream is something else! I could feel it working straight away which was great as the process was completely pain free. Very happy and would definitely reccomend."

Fine line reducing treatment

What is fine line reducing treatment?

There are many products on the market but we use a prescription only treatment to treat lines in the face. It is a temporary and safe solution for smoothing out lines and wrinkles.

This treatment has skyrocketed in its popularity and it continues to be the most popular non-surgical solution for treating lines and wrinkles.

What are Dermal Fillers?

Profhilo, Polynucleotide and Plasma rich protein treatments are more of a 'regenerative aesthetic medicine' and they take more time to work but encourage your body to create the results alongside the product being injected.

Injectable dermal filler is a soft tissue filler consisting of Hyaluronic Acid (naturally occurring) which is injected into the skin to fill facial wrinkles and create a smoother appearance. Most wrinkle fillers are temporary as they are absorbed and excreted out by the body.

Aesthetic Medicine

Aesthetic medicine is a wide term used for specialties that focus on improving cosmetic appearance through the treatment of conditions, imperfections and asymmetries of the face and body.

Non-surgical treatments are becoming increasingly popular as an alternative to the great expense and longer healing time associated with cosmetic surgery.

The global aesthetic market is growing rapidly and steadily, mainly due to the widely spread awareness of the benefits of non-invasive aesthetic treatments that help to boost self-esteem and confidence

Injection Beauty Treatment - Maidstone Aesthetics

Services

We offer a wide range of fine line reducing treatments, dermal fillers other injectables for the skin.

Treatments & Prices
  • Does it hurt?

-With any injections, there is often a little pain. When we administer treatment for fine lines, the needles are very small and fine, so you should not feel any more than a little discomfort briefly. We use expensive TSK needles to reduce pain.

-Dermal fillers have a slightly longer needle, however, generally speaking-if there is any discomfort, it is often short lived. Dermal fillers are usually mixed with a form of local anaesthetic.

-Local anaesthetic cream can be applied before treatment.

  • How long does it last? Is it permanent?

The treatments that Smoother Aesthetics use are not permanent. Some companies will provide permanent fillers. However, although the option may seem appealing, permanent substances do not adjust to the natural skin and bone changes that occur over time from the ageing process.

    -------------------------------------------

    Prescribed Fine Line Inectable Treatments:

-The average time for this treatment is 12 weeks. You will usually notice a positive difference in skin smoothness and less muscle movement between 3-7 days.

-There is a common myth that if you stop having this treatment -that your skin will look worse. If you stop having treatment, you will revert back to having the lines and wrinkles you had prior to treatment.

-A full course of treatment can be administered every 12 weeks.

    -------------------------------------------

    Dermal fillers:

-The average time the JUVÉDERM® Vycross collection dermal fillers last ranges from 6 months to 2 years. The Vycross range can last longer than the Ultra range-which is why it is more expensive.

    -------------------------------------------

    Profhilo:

-One treatment on week 1, then another treatment at week 4 and a final treatment at week 8-with a maintenance treatment every 3 months.

    -------------------------------------------

    Polynucleotide:

-On average, it is 3-4 sessions, with 2-4 weeks apart between sessions and then a booster/maintenance session every 6-9 months.

    -------------------------------------------

    Platelet Rich Plasma:

-For skin treatments, it is generally 3 x treatments - 1 x treatment every 4-6 weeks, and then a top up treatment as a booster every 6 months.

-For hair growth treatments, it is generally 3 x treatments- 1 x treatment every month and then a top up/booster every 6 months, along with taking prescribed medication for the forseeable future.

  • Is it safe?

No medical or aesthetic procedure is without risks but it is much safer when you are given treatment from a fully qualified medical professional such as a nurse, doctor or dentist.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

    Prescribed Fine Line Inectable treatments:

-This treatment is harmless and once it stops functioning, it is broken down and removed from the body naturally.

-Using to often and repeatedly can result in excessive thinning and weakening of the muscles involved. Therefore, it's important to wait until the toxin has worn off before having more injected. The key here again is to seek out a skilled and experienced medical professional who will treat you as needed.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

    Dermal fillers:

-Dermal fillers are derived from Hyalurinoc Acid which is naturally occuring in our bodies and is safe for use. There are cheaper products on the market which are not always safe but the products we use are high quality and tested to a high level.

  • Who cannot have treatment?

-If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying for a baby-including IVF.

-If you suffer from cold sores, you should have a period of time free from the sores before having lip augmentation, or you can be presribed medicine before filler to help reduce the risk of an outbreak.

-If you are under 18 years old.

-If you are unwell physically or taking antibiotics/steroids, you cannot have any treatment until a week after you feel better/stop antibiotics. This is because injectible treatments love bacteria!

-You also need to have treatment at least 48 hours before flying and at least 4 weeks before dentist appointments due to facial anatomy and if work is needed at the dentist.

  • Who can administer aesthetic injectable treatments?

-Current legislation is that anyone can administer dermal fillers once completing a foundation day course. However, unless they are a registered professional (e.g. nurse or doctor)-they are not able to administer the antidote for dermal fillers if the effect is not desired or if the filler needs to be urgently dissolved.

-Anyone can do a 'crash course' in administering dermal fillers but this is no substitute for medical training. The NHS still recommends that dermal fillers should be carried out by appropriately trained medical professionals such as doctors, nurses or dentists.

-Prescribed fine line treatments can only be administered by a registered medical professional. Your prescription is completed via a face-to-face review with a nurse prescriber.

  • Aftercare and follow up

-Smoother Aesthetics offers a free follow up if booked within 2 weeks of the treatment. A top-up treatment for the prescribed injectible 'Botox' is free.

-We also provide you with a comprenensive aftercare guide.

-Residual swelling often disappears after a few hours after treatment being administered.

-You will be given a 24/7 emergency phone number post treatment which is very rarely needed.
